Job Title: Strategic Partner Relationship Manager

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid - 1-2 days in office)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $105,000 - $155,000 + Bonus

Travel: 20% domestic travel, with overnight trips (1-3 days)

Summary

The Manager, Strategic Partner Relationships is responsible for driving profitable growth by identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that support customer acquisition and premium growth. This role blends strategy, business development, and relationship management, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners (including carriers, digital platforms, agencies, and lead providers).

This individual will own a pipeline from ideation through execution, leveraging data-driven insights and a hands-on approach to optimize performance and scale partnerships. The role is remote and requires up to 20% domestic travel for partner meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy & Growth

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new partnership opportunities across distribution channels, lead generation sources, affinity programs, and emerging platforms
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline, including outreach, qualification, business case development, and deal execution
  • Develop and present strategic proposals with clear forecasts (volume, conversion, ROI, and operational impact)
  • Negotiate and execute partnership agreements in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams
  • Translate business needs into data, AI, and analytics requirements by partnering with product, data, and technology teams

Relationship & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, fostering long-term, high-impact relationships
  • Lead regular performance reviews covering key metrics such as volume, conversion, revenue, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and partners to plan and execute campaigns that drive acquisition
  • Represent the organization professionally in partner meetings, industry events, and conferences

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Own financial and operational outcomes for assigned partnerships and channels, including revenue and profitability targets
  • Analyze performance data to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvement plans
  • Champion strong brand representation and alignment in all internal and external interactions

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or sales within insurance, financial services, or a related industry
  • Experience with personal auto, homeowners, and/or commercial insurance products preferred

  • Strong financial acumen, including ability to analyze P&L drivers, build business cases, and manage to ROI targets

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and partners in remote or hybrid environments is a plus
